I’ll try to keep this as short as possible. I bought this camera a month ago directly from the Kodak online store. Upon arrival, the camera displayed noticeable vertical lines in all of the modes except 1080p. These vertical lines appeared both on the external LCD display as well as when the files were transferred to a computer.

you know, the answer really is dreamweaver.. . You have just chosen a difficult thing to do, and one that I think is a mistake.. . Working with frames is not so great. It’s limiting and doesn’t run universally well.. . I would suggest you get away from frames, and tables, and come back at your dreamweaver looking at Cascading Style Sheets.

I have a kodak easyshare z981 and I love it except for inside people shots. It seems so slow that my kids make jokes about how long they have to stand still. But we went to Yukon Territory the first 2 weeks of Sept and took hundreds of pictures. Magnificent shots and the zoom was phenomenal! I stick to a small point and shoot camera for inside shots except for ones in a gym or theater. The charger with the kodak easyshare z981 is a joke but batteries do seem to hold a charge for a while. The lens cover on all my older Kodak Easyshares were horrible and would never stay on but this camera seems to have fixed that problem because the cover does stay put.

In what universe is the Kodak Zi8 considered “prosumer?”

It’s a pocket cam.

Please tell me you didn’t purchase a pocket cam (currently selling for $99 on Newegg) with the expectation that you would getting anything along the quality of “prosumer” (which typically run around $1000 on the bottom end of true prosumer cameras).

Further, who needs quick white-balance adjustment? What film school taught you that going from indoor, low-light to outdoor without a transition was a good idea?

Did you use two Zi8 camcorders simultaneously? Were they mounted on a bar or frame to make the lenses in sync?
